Another lament, this time about matters of the "heart", "kidney" and "bone marrow"

So i've been online, reading stuff. General shitte. That's the best part about GP. Everything's relevant.

How do you feel about organ donation?

I think they should legalize buying organs. Ethically incorrect but I say- IF YOU WANNA LIVE, YOU GOTTA PAY MAN. At least it'll increase the number of organs out circulating. But that's not the crux of the problem, is it? Whenever money's involved, somebody's bound to be shortchanged. But money talks. No money, oh sorry then. Byebye! Society won't exactly miss you. Your contribution as a tax payer is minimal anyway. It's okay, you may die now. Uhuh, harsh, i know. We shall now proceed to blame society's evil workings.

I'm a good person, or so i'd like to believe. If somebody's sister/brother/mother/father needs a kidney and i happen to be a match, I'd give it up- for a fee, of course. And after much deliberation over the risks involved. If it's my own family member than no question, i'd give it for free- out of obligation, if not love.

As sweet and nice as I am... i DO have a super big problem when it comes to donating any part of me to some old 85 year old person. Sheesh, you've lived your life enough already! Give the rest a chance, will ya!

Welcome to the new generation of self before others. Come on, how many of you are honestly altruistic anyway? Excuse my cynicism. Maybe there are people out there with incredibly pure hearts, willing to just give themselves up. But i'm more than certain this is just the minority. If they lift the ban and allow organ trading, baby, we can save more lives!

So, should we applaud advocates of organ trading- since they are the ones who will leave a much MUCH larger impact, because the extent to which they are working towards can definitely save more lives... or that guy next to you who just gave his organ up for a little girl of three? Implications are endless. But so are the causes.
