You people should just STFU and then do everybody a favour and fucking roll up in a ball and DIE

Am dead pissed with people who like to speak the world of themselves.

I'm fine with arrogant people. In fact they make the best conversationalists. This is only true when they:

  1. Have the ample experience
  2. Have no experience but got to where they are anyway
  3. Really have a host of accolades to their name, and when they have accomplished what they have set out to do.
I really just cannot stand people who like to say that they're going to do X, Y, Z on top of coming up with their own new language or something equally shit bogus like that... and go on and on about what they are about to fucking accomplish.

First I thought, "Ok, fine, he/she an ambitious little chap/lady. It's good to dream big."

Then as time goes on... I thought, "Ok, there's no such thing as success overnight, these things really take time."

And when that funny-lil'-really-annoying-slappable-and-should-be-exiled-for-giving- lousy-smack-talk fella still goes on and on and fucking on about his/her advancements (that no one else seems to be able to see except for that sorry fucker himself/herself)... I just think,

DUDE, CUT THE CRAP, AND DO SOMETHING MORE WORTHWHILE WITH YOUR LIFE. QUIT TELLING PEOPLE HOW TO LIVE THEIRS. NOBODY WANTS TO FOLLOW YOUR DARN FOOTSTEPS, DAMMIT.

And now, I am done ranting.

Actually there's another girl who I really cannot tahan (THANK GOD I NEVER HAVE TO SEE THAT NIMROD EVER AGAIN, SHE HAS THE WORST WORK ETHICS, EVER!!!)

Yes, the one with pantat berkerak, you know?

Let's leave that for when I feel I could be less incomprehensible, okay?

I work for you, you pay me on time. Bloody hell.

I feel a little too lazy to commit to the volunteer work I signed up for.

But no. MUST. SEE. THROUGH. IT. Must be down at Wilkie Edge by 5pm. Today. It's raining. Time check: 3:07pm. Arghhh. It'll be fun. It has to be. It's my own personal attempt to get closer to art. Huh. I have to like it (even though i still don't fully appreciate it), sometime... so i figured...

I don't want to be dubbed irresponsible. Yet you know what... it's starting to irk me when people take their own sweet time to pay me, especially since i've already delivered and performed!

Like come on. Stick to your part of the deal. It's slowly killing me, making me think twice/four times about that lovely necklace that I would have bought (on my 6th "visit" at the shop) should my clients make the payment promptly. But I feel weird chasing after money, so, I hope that my subtle email reminders can work wonders. Talk about delayed gratification -.-

I suppose it's a good thing. I'm learning to separate my wants and needs. And I needed a purple wallet. Hence.

Hear, hear

Non-stop flow of shoppers today (Saturday). Busy weekend. I noticed a lot of things. Funny how people-watching is hardly ever boring.

1) The ones who come in with their families - are very unlikely to buy anything. They come in, try on alot of shit. Parade for family members including their bratty kids. And then walk out (usually leaving a huge mess)

2) Working women (alone) with designer bags and salon blow-dried hair - stroll in with their arms folded most of the time. Look at clothes, taking it all, with one long gaze. Then zoom straight to one rack and start picking out. Tend to enquire about sizes alot. Tend to make purchases.

3) Couples who are probably still schooling - very giggly. Like to hold clothes up against their loved one. Very touchy touchy also (with each other la). Always try to enter the dressing room together.

4) Couples who meet each other after work for a quick shopping session - usually with a fruit juice or some kind of beverage in hand. Not really interested in clothes. Only there to spend time with each other, window shopping. I think they're cute and endearing to watch.

5) Old retired aunties (wives of towkays?) - Like to talk and ask questions. Can machine wash? This one will expand or not? Can change the buttons to zip or not? Girl, you think this size I can wear?

6) Expats/foreigners - THEY ARE MY FAVOURITE GROUP OF PEOPLE. SO LOVELY TO SERVE. And so very patient. And it's easy to close sales with them. Cause maybe FCUK's cheaper in Sg?

Ok these six are the recurring ones. I think I do like working after all. As long as it keeps me occupied.

Beneath the obvious.

It's been 2 days. I hate the morning train rides. I never knew that one has to be super-model thin, oh wait, no, actually, you must be liquidified, to be able to squeeze on the tube. YESS, i know that i like to be hugged but i swear, the morning breath of a thousand crammed into one cabin is the shittiest way to start a morning. 10 years of walking to school has made me completely oblivious as to how vicious and ridiculous morning train services can be.

Driving lessons should have come first, then only start work. Put a downpayment on a car too. Alternatively, generate enough $$ for cab fare everyday. Better still, be your own boss and stroll into work any friggin time you please, beating all the silly goverment trappings; ERP and what nots.

Work has been deliciously good. I learn so much everyday & I'm perpetually on Google News. I've only been working for approx 18 hours & I'm hooked! There's just so much news. And the best part about online news is that the headlines tell you everything. So far, i've gotten my first byline, which they will run in next month's print! And I'm currently working on an original story. OMG, I AM CHASING A STORY!!! *squeals. Okay, its nothing glamourous. It's about "strategic hiring" - something completely brand new to me. Plus, the editor made me an author on their blog. My impeccable blogging skills have finally paid off. Hehe

Lunch can get lonely sometimes. Food is expensive around Bugis area, so I shall devise a plan to cut down on expenses... starting with Mentos! I cant afford lime mint mentos from 7-eleven daily on an intern's pay! People at the office are busy bees, rushing their butts off to meet deadlines and clinch exclusives before the end of year hols. Please let another intern come in and keep me company by Jan.

It might have only been two days... but i hope my enthusiam will last forever. I'd really like to pursue this. Maybe i'll finally passionately love something, forever.

To be honest, I love it cause it takes up so much of my time. Whenever there's a breaking news related to our department, even the lowly intern stays overtime (without pay, mind you) to cover it before it becomes outdated. Unlike history, news bulletins have a damn short lifespan. Unlike others, my life has been reduced to shopping.

I can't follow my family off to KL for a shopping/eating/sleeping and car-ride holiday. I'll be working. They'll be gone for 3 nights.

My heart breaks. I'll be home alone. Which counts for nothing when you're single and no party animal, by the way.

I'm tired, but satisfied with work today :) I can't leave the link to the magazine websites here because I don't want anybody from the office tracking my blog down...
